Crazy Things About Dogs!

1.  Dogs Do Dream! Like humans they have Slow Wave Sleep (SWS) and rapid eye movement (REM) and during this stage dogs can dream. A sign that dreaming is happening is paw movement.

2.  Where are the spots?Dalmatians are actually born all white and gain their spots as they get older.

3.  Dogs have night vision! They have a special membrane in their eye called tapetum lucidum, which allows them to see in the dark.

4. Breathe easy. In addition to sweating through their paw pads, dogs pant to cool themselves off. A panting dog can take 300-400 breaths (compared to his regular 30-40) with very little effort.
